The Alice Network
by Kate Quinn
The Alice Network is a richly detailed, emotionally resonant novel with utterly humane characters and a deep sense of historical authenticity. The research shines on every page, immersing the reader in the world of WWI and post-WWII Europe, though the dense layering of facts can make for a slow read at times. Still, the strength of the characters and the compelling dual timeline kept me engaged, and I found myself genuinely moved by their stories. I liked this a lot and will definitely be seeking out more by Kate Quinn.
