The Rose Code
by Kate Quinn
The Rose Code is a wonderful tribute to the brilliant, unsung women who played vital roles in the war effort, and it’s clear that Kate Quinn’s meticulous research underpins every page. The story brings Bletchley Park to life with compelling characters and richly woven historical detail. Like her other novels, though, it’s a slow burn; I needed the full three weeks of library time to make it through. Still, the payoff is worth it, offering a thoughtful and deeply human perspective on a fascinating slice of history.
