November 9
by Colleen Hoover
November 9 lands somewhere in the middle; it is not terrible, but not terribly good, either. Colleen Hoover’s prolific output shows here, with writing that feels mechanical and formulaic at times. While the prose is mediocre, the storytelling has more promise, managing to hold interest with its emotional twists and time-jumping romance, even if it never fully delivers a satisfying punch. It’s readable and occasionally engaging, but far from something I’d term as a quality read.
