Pineapple Street

by Jenny Jackson

Pineapple Street serves up a smart, sly take on rich people drama, diving into the petty tensions and inherited guilt of a Brooklyn Heights family with old money and new problems. The storytelling is sharp and fast-paced, skewering privilege while still indulging in its comforts. It's a parade of entitled meltdowns and social jostling, made more fun by the vividly drawn Brooklyn backdrop, which adds just enough grit to balance the gloss.
