Apples Never Fall
by Liane Moriarty
This one is a strange ride, it’s weird, and not always in a good way. Reese needs to get a grip with these oddball recommendations. The plot leans into an bizarre mix of family drama and mystery, but the characters feel undercooked, making their choices hard to believe and harder to care about. There’s a scattered energy to the storytelling that never quite settles, leaving the whole thing feeling more confusing than compelling. It’s kind of okay if you squint, but ultimately, it’s a puzzling, uneven read that doesn’t live up to its intriguing premise.
