Little Fires Everywhere
by Celeste Ng
This book arrived with overwhelming hype, leaving me uncertain about what to expect or believe. It turned out to be an engaging read with solid writing, and was compelling enough. Ultimately, it falls into the growing category of novels that deny their characters redemption and their readers a true sense of closure. While I’d revisit the book, I’d definitely pass on the Hulu adaptation. It didn’t add anything worthwhile to the experience.
