This short story held my interest, it was plot driven and situational. Although the character of Kathy was codependent, I found her relatable and sympathetic as she grasped for fulfillment. There was moderate character development within odd delusion. One huge issue: As a North Dakota native, there is no one there who calls it "Dakota" nor do they send their kids to boarding school.
