by Stephen King

For my first King novel, I chose well. The depth of research, sharp narrative, and strong character development left a lasting impression. I haven’t seen the series adaptation, and I’m unsure if I will; visual dramatizations often disrupt the personal vision I’ve built of the characters in my mind. This book is immense, not just in scope but in the way it captures human kindness, brutality, love, and enduring hope across time. Without hesitation, I’ll be reading another.
