The Tattooist of Auschwitz

by Heather Morris

This book was recommended to me at a blood drive; a woman referred to it as the best book she’d read all year. I was not disappointed, it is striking in both language and impact. The writing is refined and deliberate, and drew me in with measured pacing and thoughtful construction. I found myself captivated by the slow unfolding of the story, each revelation carefully placed to build momentum and deepen the experience. The author’s method feels intentional, allowing themes to develop rather than rushing toward any resolution. This is a novel that lingered in my mind long after I had finished.
