The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck

by Mark Mason

Here we go again. This book was a gift, or I likely would’t have opened it. This book barely left an impression. Written in the first person, the narrator walks us through the development of the central concept, offering moments of cleverness and occasional insight. Throughout the read, I had the impression that the author was much more impressed with his work that anyone else. Yet, too often, it veers into self-indulgence and repetition. Ultimately, it was just slightly better than mediocre— hovering somewhere between mildly engaging and forgettable.
