The End of the Affair
by Graham Greene
Graham Greene never disappoints, and this novel is no exception. There’s something uniquely compelling about revisiting historical settings, and London, with all its layered complexities, proves especially fascinating. The story gripped me from start to finish, its atmosphere rich and immersive. My only disappointment lies with the film adaptation, which softened the novel’s bleaker themes rather than fully embracing its underlying sense of disillusionment. Greene’s ability to weave intrigue, morality, and atmosphere remains unparalleled.
