The Last One at the Wedding

by Jason Rekulak

The Last One at the Wedding was more than I had anticipated, with interesting character development and a few unexpected twists that kept me engaged. Still, I can’t help but ask: how many novels need to be written about rich, dysfunctional families who are either cruel or criminal or both? It’s becoming tiring. Even so, the book held my interest, and the Frank character, both endearing and trying a bit too hard, added a human touch that grounded the more dramatic turns. One thing however, the repeated daddy long-leg appearances were unnecessary.
