Now or Never: A Stephanie Plum Novel

Now or Never, the latest Stephanie Plum novel, really missed the mark for me. I’ve been a fan of these lightweight reads since the beginning, and Evanovich usually has a lot more oomph. Something is missing. I don’t know when it happened, but this one was plain garbage — I mean the kind you only find in New York City summer heat. The characters’ outlandish, endearing, guffaw‑worthy moments just aren’t here, and at times I felt like I was reading from a Sears catalog. For me, this was a complete waste of time.
