The Dream Hotel

by Laila Lalami

The Dream Hotel is a gripping fantasy fiction with an unsettling real-life horror — while these are not my typical reading categories, this one snagged me. The concept is undeniably alluring and blurs the line between dreams and reality in a way that keeps tension simmering throughout. The novel’s atmosphere leans well into its unsettling premise, offering moments that are both unnerving and captivating. I have to say, wouldn’t want my odd and often ludicrous dreams to come under analysis that way.
