Don’t Let Her Stay
by Nicola Sanders
The lean into indie intrigue promises more than it delivers. The most compelling thing here is its independent roots; you can sense the author’s control, though not always to the story’s benefit. Chapter after chapter blurs into a repetitive cycle, mirroring the protagonist’s paranoia and testing a reader’s patience. I am that reader. Despite the reviews — It’s not jaw-dropping, and certainly not unputdownable, but the final reveal might offer enough payoff to justify the ride. Maybe. I let her stay, but just barely.
