I was late to the 30 Rock party, having only discovered it through streaming years after everyone else seemed to be quoting it, but reading Bossypants made me appreciate Tina Fey even more. What struck me most was how human and relatable she comes across, despite her extraordinary success. She's genuinely funny without feeling like she's trying too hard, and her stories are packed with sharp observations and self-deprecating humor that make the book an easy, enjoyable read. I also appreciated her willingness to share credit where it's due, consistently acknowledging the colleagues, mentors, and creative partners who helped shape her career rather than presenting success as a solo achievement. Bossypants felt like spending an afternoon with a smart, witty friend who has plenty of great stories to tell and just enough humility to make them all the more engaging.
