A Burning

by Megha Majumdar

Megha Majumdar’s A Burning is a riveting and sharply observed novel, revealing the brutal intersections of ambition, injustice, and systemic oppression. The storytelling is well done, weaving together perspectives realities of class and political maneuvering. The sexism throughout is undeniable and woven quietly into the characters' fates.. Frankly, this book disturbed me in a very real way.
