Things You Save in a Fire

by Katherine Center

Things You Save in a Fire was engaging enough to keep me reading, though it leaned a little too heavily on firefighter jargon at times. The story had heart, and the main character was likable, even if some parts felt predictable. Not a standout, but solid enough that I’d give this author another try.
