These Summer Storms: A Novel

by Sarah MacLean

These Summer Storms was a good, light‑weight read for me, entertaining even with its admittedly dysfunctional, soap‑operatic bent and reliance on old tropes. I never expected a graduate literature study here, and the book doesn’t try to be that, but it held my attention and delivered enough ease and escapism to make it worthwhile. MacLean has defined her a worthy niche here.
