The Abbey: An Ash Rasid Novel

by Chris Culver

The reading was effortless, free from excessive explanation, overwrought description, or contrived scene-setting. The characters were well developed, with believable narrative and dialogue that felt authentic. The action scenes, for the most part, avoided unnecessary dramatization. I appreciated the inclusion of a Muslim character who defied stereotypes. However, some moments felt overly dramatic and unresolved, with odd twists that did little to support the story. The ending was weak and lacked coherence, particularly the strange conflict with China in the final pages. Despite these flaws, I wouldn’t hesitate to read another book by this author.
