I found Stories I Only Tell My Friends to be an engaging introduction to Rob Lowe, especially in how he reflects on his early life and the not-so-glamorous reality behind fame. It’s a clear reminder that celebrity isn’t quite what we imagine from the outside. What I appreciated most was the tone; for a tell-all, it’s surprisingly restrained, offering glimpses into his world without turning into a catalog of name-dropping or mudslinging. Lowe keeps the focus largely on himself, which gives the story a more reflective and, at times, sobering edge, making it an interesting and worthwhile read. Truthfully, I was surprised I like it as much as I did.
