Malibu Rising

by TaylorJenkins Reid

I enjoyed the Malibu Rising experience, it was like reading a soap opera with dual timelines. The set up was compelling and supported by a well-fleshed backstory. Jenkins Reid has a knack for creating characters that feel deeply human and relatable, each grappling with their own struggles, from professional disappointments to complicated romantic lives. What I appreciated most was how tidily everything wrapped up; by the end of the novel, each plot thread was resolved, and the story left no lingering questions. It was a satisfying read that made for an excellent escape. High literature, no; entertaining storytelling, yes.
